The Wesleyan at Scenic offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living, allowing residents to choose the level of day-to-day assistance that fits their needs while remaining in the same community if those needs change. The health team can work with residents who require oxygen management, special diets, diabetic care with either oral medication or insulin injections, and adults under 60 who need supportive services. Moderate dementia is accommodated, with care plans that address memory-supportive routines and supervision.
Clinical oversight is reinforced by registered and licensed nurses on site around the clock, an additional nurse on call 24/7, and a full program of background-screened, awake night staff. Emergency pull cords and personal emergency response systems connect directly to staff, and exterior doors are alarmed with fenced outdoor areas for added safety. Residents have on-site access to podiatry, audiology, dental visits, therapy space, and acceptance of psychiatric conditions. Daily living help is offered at the level required, from standby assistance with a walker to one- or two-person wheelchair transfers. Full assistance is available for bathing, dressing, and toileting, while eating support is provided for those able to self-feed but needing monitoring or cuing.
Accommodation options include suites with private bathrooms, some offering kitchenettes, furnished layouts, and individual climate controls. Cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are provided, and a limited number of units have in-suite washers and dryers. Residents may paint or decorate their rooms to personalize the space, though not every apartment includes every listed feature.
Dining services supply a standard menu plus an on-order option, with snacks available throughout the day. Meals can be taken in the main dining room, a private dining space for family gatherings, or delivered to the apartment when needed. Diet modifications are supported, including gluten-free choices, vegetarian dishes, mechanical soft or chopped textures, puréed meals, and thickened liquids.
The campus includes resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, and designated outdoor smoking areas. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Amenities range from a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, movie space, wellness center, and library to communal gardens, special-interest clubs, on-site religious services, and internet access throughout the building. Concierge services, a stair glide, and a fully accessible design support mobility. Transportation options include scheduled community shuttle trips, medical-only transportation, a town-car service, and proximity to public transit.
