Grand Living at Georgetown delivers a dedicated Memory Care program designed for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, including advanced conditions. The community is prepared to manage wandering behaviors day or night, elopement risk, sleep disruptions, oxygen use, special dietary requirements, and both oral and injectable diabetes care. Individuals younger than 60 who need Memory Care can also be accommodated.
Clinical oversight includes an RN or LPN on staff with a nurse on call 24 hours a day, and all team members complete background checks. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, dressing, or toileting receive hands-on help, while mealtime support is available for those who need partial assistance. Mobility needs are met through standby supervision, walker or wheelchair help, and one- or two-person transfers as required.
Residences are offered in several layouts, some with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable service. Furnishings are provided, but residents may paint or decorate their space to suit personal preferences. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are included in the monthly rate.
Dining is flexible, with meals prepared to order and snacks available throughout the day. The culinary team manages specialized diets such as gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, and thickened-liquid plans. A private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings, and staff monitor nutritional intake for residents who have medical diet directives.
Shared amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, concierge desk, library, and a variety of special-interest clubs. Scheduled transportation is provided for medical appointments and local outings.
