Pinewood Hills offers Independent Living with optional support for residents who have mild dementia and for those who need help with basic self-care. Staff members can assist with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and they are prepared to help residents who transfer with walkers or wheelchairs.
Additional care resources are available on site. Hospice care can be arranged when needed, and residents have access to visiting physical, occupational, and speech therapists as well as a podiatrist. A full-time Activity Director coordinates daily programs, and a PERS system immediately alerts staff if a resident signals for assistance, providing an added layer of safety.
Apartments vary in features, but many include a private bathroom, a kitchenette, individual climate controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate the space. Because features differ by unit, prospective residents should confirm which elements are included in the apartment they are considering.
Meals are served on a set menu schedule in the community dining room. This arrangement removes the need for meal planning and preparation while still offering balanced nutrition each day.
Residents have access to a range of amenities, including parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a movie room, a wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, a library, patios and balconies, and scheduled transportation for personal errands or appointments. Pets are allowed, but policies can vary; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
