The Montevista at Coronado delivers two levels of residential care—Assisted Living and Independent Living. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive daily help with activities of living while maintaining as much independence as possible, and those in Independent Living have the freedom of a private apartment with access to communal support if health needs change.
Medical resources are integral to the community’s service model. Short-term respite stays are accepted, and every resident can expect regular wellness checks coordinated with on-site nursing staff. A physician is on call for routine or urgent matters, and speech therapy is available for communication and swallowing concerns. On-site services also cover incontinence management, ambulatory assistance, hospice coordination, and rehabilitation through occupational and physical therapists, allowing most health issues to be addressed without leaving the building.
Apartments are offered in several floor plans, and not all units have every feature, but options may include pet-friendly policies, access to intergenerational programs, and outdoor areas such as walking paths and patios. Primary utilities are bundled with rent, while cable and internet can be added separately. Surface parking is available for residents who drive.
Three meals are prepared daily and are included in the monthly fee. The culinary team can accommodate gluten-free selections as well as low-sugar and low-salt dishes for residents monitoring specific health conditions, and staff remain available to note any new dietary instructions from a physician or dietitian.
Residents have access to an activity center, library and computer lounge, and landscaped grounds for outdoor relaxation. The community schedules birthday celebrations, game or movie nights, weekly happy hours, fitness classes, live-music performances, organized social outings, and seasonal use of a heated swimming pool, providing a consistent calendar of engagement for a wide range of interests.
