Lake Point Denison is a dedicated memory-care community that accepts residents across the full spectrum of cognitive decline, including advanced dementia. The clinical program is designed to support people who wander at any time of day, present elopement risk, display combative or other challenging behaviors, remain awake through the night, require wound care, use oxygen, follow special diets, manage diabetes by pills or injections, or are younger than 60. Physicians, nurses and rehabilitation professionals visit the community to deliver medication management, incontinence care, ambulatory support, hospice coordination, dental checks, podiatry, and physical and occupational therapy, so most residents’ medical needs can be handled without leaving the building.
An RN or LPN is on-site around the clock, and an additional nurse remains awake overnight. All employees complete background checks, and the rear of the property is fenced to reduce elopement risk. Staff provide hands-on help with bathing, dressing, eating and toileting for residents who need full assistance. Transfer help ranges from standby to two-person or full Hoyer lift support, and team members are trained to work with walkers, wheelchairs and bed-bound individuals. The facility operates exclusively as a memory-care setting, so every aspect of daily routine is built around consistent staffing, predictable schedules and secure surroundings.
Resident suites offer individual temperature controls and cable service, although availability of these features can vary by unit type. Floor plans are straightforward to reduce confusion, and each room is arranged to keep personal items within easy reach and support safe mobility.
Meals follow a set menu that rotates regularly, but made-to-order options are available at each sitting for residents with personal preferences or physician-ordered diets. Snacks are stocked throughout the day and night so residents who eat on a non-traditional schedule can still meet nutritional goals without waiting for formal meal times.
The community provides on-site resident parking, is fully wheelchair accessible, and houses a barber and beauty shop for routine grooming. Internet access allows families to stay in touch, while a secure communal garden offers monitored outdoor time.
