Whiterock Court – Sky Active Living provides both Assisted Living and Independent Living options, allowing residents to remain in one community as needs change. Medical support covers oxygen management and monitoring for residents using oral diabetic medications, and staff are trained to work with individuals who have mild dementia. On-site medical services include regular visits from a registered nurse, medication management oversight, physical therapy, podiatry, and coordination of hospice care when necessary. Residents who need help with bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting receive hands-on assistance tailored to their own abilities, and the community accommodates both walker and wheelchair transfers.
Around-the-clock staffing forms the backbone of day-to-day safety. An RN/LPN is on staff during the day, a nurse is on call 24 hours, and awake and asleep night-shift teams cover the overnight hours. Background-checked caregivers respond to pull-cord or PERS alerts, and exterior doors are alarmed with 24-hour security on site. The rear grounds are fenced, limiting wandering risk for those with memory concerns. An activity director schedules structured programs every day, giving residents predictable routines and additional staff oversight.
Private and semi-private apartments are available, and some units feature private bathrooms, independent temperature controls, cable connections, and the option to paint or decorate. Because floor plans vary, not every apartment includes every feature, so checking individual layouts is recommended. Weekly housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance are provided for all Assisted Living residents, and the Independent Living wing adds light housekeeping, personal laundry, and a monthly meal plan as part of the base package.
The dining program follows a set menu with three meals served daily, plus snacks offered between meals. Special diets, portion control, and texture modifications can be arranged through the dietary team, and medication-time reminders are coordinated with meal service when needed. Independent Living residents who manage their own kitchens can still enroll in the monthly meal plan and may choose medication-management monitoring for an added layer of safety.
Amenities include on-site resident parking, stair-glide access, and full wheelchair accessibility throughout common areas. The campus offers a wellness center, exercise room, barber/beauty shop, movie room, internet access points, communal gardens, and regularly scheduled religious services. Scheduled transportation is provided, and public transit stops are nearby for residents who prefer to travel independently. Outdoor smoking areas are designated, and the community is pet-friendly; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
