The Renaissance At Kessler Park functions primarily as a nursing home, delivering continuous skilled nursing oversight for residents who need comprehensive medical monitoring. Licensed nurses are on site around the clock to handle medication management, chronic-condition supervision, wound care and post-surgical support. A dedicated physical therapy program operates within the community, allowing residents to pursue rehabilitation goals without leaving the building. Therapy plans are created in coordination with physicians, so each resident’s progress is tracked and adjusted as needed.
Beyond direct medical interventions, the care team assists with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing and mobility transfers. Care plans are reviewed regularly, and vital signs are monitored to catch emerging issues early. An on-call physician network, coordination with outside specialists and prompt access to laboratory and pharmacy services help streamline treatment changes. Emergency call systems are installed in resident rooms and common areas to ensure rapid response whenever assistance is required.
Private and semi-private rooms are available, and common spaces include outdoor areas and an outdoor garden where residents can spend supervised time outdoors. Some accommodations offer views of landscaped courtyards or easier access to these outdoor spaces, while others are situated closer to therapy suites or dining rooms; not all accommodations have every feature. Housekeeping, laundry service and maintenance support are included in the basic room rate.
Meals are prepared on site three times a day, with snacks provided between meal periods. A dietary manager works with nursing staff to create menus that address therapeutic diets such as low-sodium, carbohydrate-controlled or mechanical-soft options. Residents can choose to dine in a communal setting for social interaction or request in-room service if health needs or personal preference dictate. Hydration stations remain available throughout the building to encourage optimal fluid intake.
Residents have access to an activity center that hosts group exercises, crafts and social events, as well as a library & computer lounge stocked with reading materials and internet-enabled computers for email, telehealth visits or entertainment. On-site activity staff schedule programs daily to promote cognitive engagement and social connection, and transportation for scheduled medical appointments is arranged when needed.
