Stoney Brook Assisted Living & Memory Care of Copperas Cove provides two levels of residency: Assisted Living for individuals who need intermittent help with daily activities and a dedicated Memory Care program designed for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, including advanced cases. Both programs can support residents who wander during the day or night, those with elopement risk, individuals who remain awake overnight, people using oxygen, and diabetics managed with oral medication.
A nurse is on call around the clock, and every employee completes background checks. Exterior safety is reinforced with a fenced rear area. Residents have regular access to visiting podiatry, audiology, dental professionals, and a therapy room for rehabilitation. Staff provide full-assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Mobility support ranges from standby supervision to one- and two-person transfers for walkers and wheelchairs.
Private and semi-private suites are available; some include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, and cable service. Residents may personalize their space with paint or decorations. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided for all units, but not every room includes every amenity listed.
The culinary team offers a set menu three times daily, with snacks available between meals. Specialized consistencies such as mechanical-chopped, puréed, or thickened liquids are prepared as ordered. In-room dining is an option when residents are ill or prefer privacy, and a private dining room can be reserved for family visits.
The community is pet-friendly, wheelchair accessible, and features an on-site barber and beauty shop, movie room, library, communal gardens, internet access, concierge desk, and regular religious services. Scheduled transportation is available for medical appointments and local errands. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
