Woodhaven Village focuses exclusively on memory care, with programming and staffing designed to serve residents living with every stage of dementia, including advanced conditions that require close monitoring. The team is equipped to respond to wandering behaviors day or night, elopement risks, physical aggressiveness, behavioral fluctuations, and residents who remain awake throughout the night. Medical oversight is anchored by on-site RN and LPN professionals, a 24-hour nurse on call, and medication management that accommodates oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetic care for both oral and injectable regimens.
Daily safety and clinical support are reinforced by background-checked staff working awake night shifts, continuously alarmed doors, pull-cord alert systems, and personal emergency response devices that link directly to caregivers. Residents can meet with visiting podiatry, audiology, and dental clinicians without leaving the building. For personal care, the staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, and some physical help with eating. Mobility services range from standby supervision to one- and two-person transfers, supporting walkers and wheelchairs.
Private and semi-private suites are available, and many—but not all—include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent climate controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate. Housekeeping comes standard, and scheduled laundry service is provided to every resident.
Meals are prepared according to both set menus and on-order selections, with snacks available throughout the day. The culinary team offers customized diet management, including mechanical-chopped, pureed, and thickened-liquid textures to address swallowing or nutritional needs.
Residents have access to wheelchair-friendly common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and wellness rooms, a movie room, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Internet access, a dog park, steam rooms, and scheduled transportation for appointments or outings are also part of campus life. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
