Kevin’s Senior Living operates as a residential care home and is equipped to manage a wide range of medical needs. The staff is experienced in supporting residents who wander, display combative or other behavioral issues, stay awake at night, require oxygen, or follow special diets. Care teams can accommodate residents under 60 as well as those with advanced dementia, and they manage diabetes using oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale protocols. A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on site, and a nurse is on call around the clock. On-site services include podiatry, in-house pharmacy coordination, and acceptance of residents with psychiatric diagnoses, allowing most care to be delivered without leaving the property.
Daily living assistance is provided at the level each resident needs. Staff can give full help with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting and can perform transfers ranging from walker or wheelchair supervision to two-person or Hoyer lift support for bed-bound residents. An awake night shift, 24-hour security presence, background-checked personnel, a fenced rear area, door alarms, and a PERS alert system create a monitored environment that helps reduce risk for wandering or falls while maintaining quick response capability.
Private and semi-private rooms come furnished, and residents may paint or decorate their space if they wish. Cable television is available in many but not all rooms. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided, with the frequency tailored to each resident’s needs.
Meals are served on both a set menu and made-to-order basis, with snacks available throughout the day. The kitchen team can accommodate doctor-ordered diet modifications, including gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chop, puree, and thickened-liquid preparations. Staff coordinate closely with nursing to support diabetic meal plans and other specialized nutritional requirements.
Community features include outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible design, an on-site barber and beauty shop, internet access, communal gardens, and primary-care physician rounding. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
