Opening in 2024, Orchard Pointe at Creek Valley in Carrollton, Texas, will provide three levels of residential care: Independent Living for adults who want minimal assistance, Assisted Living for residents who need routine help with daily tasks, and a dedicated Memory Care program for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, including advanced cases. The community is prepared to manage complex medical needs such as wandering behaviors during the day or night, elopement risks, combative or other behavioral issues, sleep disturbances, wound care, oxygen therapy, specialized diets, diabetes management (both oral medications and insulin), and support for residents younger than 60.
Round-the-clock clinical oversight is built into the operating plan, with an RN or LPN on staff at all times and an awake night-shift team. All employees undergo background checks, and resident areas feature alarmed doors and a fenced rear section to reduce exit-seeking risks. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from simple standby supervision to one-person or two-person assists, full-body lifts with a Hoyer, and care for individuals who are completely bed-bound. An activity director coordinates therapeutic and recreational programming tailored to each level of care.
Accommodation options will include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. Most units are expected to have private bathrooms, emergency call systems, and basic kitchenettes, though not all apartments will have every feature. Housekeeping, linen service, and basic maintenance will be provided, and select floor plans will offer patios or courtyard access for those who prefer an outdoor connection.
Dining will follow a chef-prepared, restaurant-style model with three scheduled meals each day and anytime snacks. Menus are reviewed by dietitians to accommodate doctor-ordered requirements such as low-sodium, diabetic, or puree diets. Residents choosing Independent Living may cook light meals in their own kitchenette if they prefer, while those in Assisted Living or Memory Care can rely on staff for complete meal service.
The campus will offer a range of amenities and services, including the option to have approved pets, an on-site barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a movie room, internet access throughout the building, and communal gardens for light outdoor activity. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
