Calder Woods offers three levels of residential care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—so residents can transition between service levels without leaving the community. Short-term Respite stays are available, and the staff is prepared to manage diabetes care and support residents who need regular physical, occupational, or speech therapy. A physician is on call, and licensed nurses monitor medication regimens, coordinate therapy schedules, and collaborate with outside specialists.
The campus is equipped for round-the-clock clinical support and safety. A secured Memory Care neighborhood and comprehensive sprinkler system help protect residents, while on-site services cover wound care, incontinence management, ambulatory assistance, hospice care, and massage therapy. Residents and families can meet with counseling staff to address care planning, and continuing-care coordination is in place for those who may need higher acuity services over time.
Living options range from studio apartments to units with balconies, patios, or decks. Features such as central air conditioning, cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and wheelchair-accessible showers are available, although not every residence includes every feature. Kitchens or kitchenettes, wall-to-wall carpet, and housekeeping services support day-to-day comfort. Outdoor areas, a central fireplace, and on-site parking extend the usable space beyond each apartment.
Dining follows an all-day service model with meals prepared by a professional chef. Residents can choose restaurant-style seating and may invite guests. The kitchen can accommodate kosher, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-sodium, no-sugar, and organic requests. International cuisine options appear regularly, and special diets are coordinated with the nursing and therapy teams to align nutritional plans with medical needs.
Beyond clinical care, Calder Woods maintains an activity center, arts and crafts studio, game room, movie theater, library with computer lounge, and spaces for clubs, dances, wine tastings, and birthday parties. Residents can join fitness and wellness programs such as Forever Fit, yoga, chair yoga, and indoor or outdoor walking groups. A swimming pool, intergenerational events, live-well classes, and planned social outings add further structure to daily life, while organized health education sessions reinforce the community’s focus on wellness.
