The Waterford at Baytown offers three distinct levels of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—allowing residents to transition seamlessly as needs change. Memory Care programming supports people who wander in the morning or evening, remain awake throughout the night, or live with advanced dementia. Oxygen management is also available, and the staff is familiar with complex medical profiles that require regular monitoring.
A nurse is on call around the clock, and an awake night shift provides continual oversight backed by 24-hour security, background-checked staff, and a PERS alert system that immediately notifies caregivers of any concern. On-site services include medication management, hospice care, ambulatory and incontinence support, physical and occupational therapy, and specialized spaces designed for memory loss, including an enclosed courtyard. Caregivers can deliver full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, offer standby help at mealtimes, and perform walker, wheelchair, standby, or one-person transfers. An activity director coordinates daily programming suitable for every care level.
Residences vary in size and layout. Some apartments feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent climate controls, cable access, and the option to paint or decorate rooms, while others include only select features. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided throughout the community to keep living spaces tidy.
Meals are served from a set menu designed to meet routine nutritional needs, with staff available to assist those who require support at the table. Independent Living residents can also arrange for housekeeping and laundry on a scheduled basis, allowing them to focus on leisure and social activities.
Amenities include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, a movie room, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, full kitchens for resident use, and a library. The community arranges transportation for medical appointments and local errands. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
