Legacy Oaks of Azle provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, with programming that also accommodates residents living with advanced dementia. The community accepts individuals who wander during the day or night, exhibit behavioral symptoms, need wound care or oxygen therapy, are up throughout the night, or are younger than 60. Diabetic management is available for both oral medications and insulin injections, and care plans are adjusted as medical conditions change.
Clinical coverage includes an on-site RN or LPN, a nurse on call 24 hours a day, and an awake night shift. All employees undergo background checks. Safety features include pull-cord systems and personal emergency response devices that can alert staff or call 911 directly. Podiatry visits are offered on campus. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they are trained in multiple transfer methods ranging from standby help to two-person lifts. Round-the-clock staffing and security are in place to monitor doors and respond to resident needs.
Apartments are designed for varying levels of independence. Some units have a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls, and cable service, but not every residence includes all of these features. Families can review floor plans to choose the space that best matches the resident’s care level and budget.
Meals follow a set menu that rotates regularly, and snacks are available between dining periods. The culinary team prepares balanced options that take into account dietary restrictions such as diabetic or low-sodium needs. Residents who need assistance with eating receive help from trained caregivers.
The campus offers resident parking, designated outdoor smoking areas, and is wheelchair accessible throughout. Additional conveniences include an on-site barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, community-wide internet access, and scheduled transportation for appointments or shopping. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
