The Cottages at Quail Creek offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, with programming structured to meet the needs of residents at every stage, including those with advanced dementia. Clinical staff are prepared to support adults who wander during the day or night, are at risk for elopement, or present with combative or other behavioral issues. The community also accepts residents who stay up all night, require wound management, use oxygen, need special diets, or are under 60 years of age. Comprehensive diabetes oversight—oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale regimens—is available and coordinated on-site.
Around-the-clock coverage is maintained by RNs or LPNs, with a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Staff members have completed background checks, and an awake night shift monitors door alarms, fenced outdoor areas, pull cords, and personal emergency response systems. An activity director coordinates daily engagement while security personnel remain on site at all times. Medical professionals visit regularly for podiatry and audiology, the residence fills prescriptions in-house, and it will admit individuals with psychiatric needs. Residents who need total assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting receive that help, and transfer support ranges from standby or one-person assists to full Hoyer-lift transfers.
Private and semi-private accommodations allow residents to paint or decorate to their taste. Some rooms provide cable service, and all receive routine housekeeping with scheduled laundry. Because layouts vary, not every room contains every feature, so it is advisable to confirm availability during a tour.
Meals follow a set menu, prepared to accommodate mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, or other physician-ordered diets. Snacks are available throughout the day, and residents may enjoy in-room dining or reserve a private dining room for family gatherings. Nutritional oversight ensures that special dietary needs—including diabetic and low-sodium plans—are met without interruption.
Community amenities include outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible grounds, a barber and beauty shop, internet access, communal gardens, an on-site chapel for religious services, a library, and various special-interest clubs. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
