Traditions of Smyrna provides three levels of residential care—Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care—so residents can remain on one campus even if their needs change. The community is prepared to support advanced dementia and a range of clinical profiles, including residents who wander day or night, elope, display combative or other challenging behaviors, require oxygen, are up throughout the night, are under 60 years old, or manage diabetes with oral medication or insulin injections.
Clinical coverage includes an RN or LPN on staff, a nurse on call 24/7, and an awake night-shift team. All employees undergo background checks, and the building is monitored around the clock with staff on site, door alarms, pull-cords in apartments and a personal emergency response system that alerts caregivers. On-site services span incontinence and ambulatory care, medication management, hospice coordination, and therapies delivered by occupational and physical therapists. Residents who need hands-on help with bathing, dressing, toileting or eating receive full assistance, and transfer support is available for walkers, wheelchairs, standby needs or one-person lifts.
Apartments are offered in several layouts, some with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls and cable hookups. Regular housekeeping and scheduled laundry are included, though not every unit contains all of these features, so it is advisable to confirm specific amenities during a tour.
Dining offers a standard daily menu plus made-to-order selections at each meal. Snacks are available throughout the day, and meals can be served in the apartment for those who prefer in-room dining or need isolation. There is also a private dining room that can be reserved for family events.
Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping, laundry service and a monthly meal plan that allows them to enjoy chef-prepared meals in the main dining room while still having the flexibility to cook in their own kitchenette.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, barber and beauty services, an exercise room, a wellness center, reliable internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge support, a library and a variety of special-interest clubs. Pets are allowed, and it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
