The Village at Germantown offers Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care programs, including support for advanced dementia. Care teams are prepared to manage residents who wander day or night, present elopement or behavioral concerns, remain up all night, or require wound care, oxygen therapy, specially modified diets, or diabetes management by oral medication, injections or sliding‐scale protocols. The community can also admit adults under 60 who need these services.
Registered nurses or licensed practical nurses are on site around the clock, backed by an on-call nurse and a dedicated activity director. All staff undergo background checks, and overnight staffing is awake. Security measures include 24-hour staffing, fenced perimeters front and rear, alarmed doors, WanderGuard technology, pull cords and in-room PERS units. A therapy room and regular podiatry visits are available on campus. Residents can receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby supervision to one- or two-person assists, wheelchair support, Hoyer lifts and bed-bound care.
Apartments may include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, cable service, in-unit laundry and the option to paint or decorate, but features vary by floor plan. Weekly housekeeping and scheduled laundry are standard, and full laundry machines are available in select units. Independent Living residents can add medication-management monitoring, housekeeping, laundry and a flexible monthly meal plan.
Meals are cooked to order, with snacks available throughout the day, room-service dining on request and a private dining room for family events. The culinary team accommodates gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chop, puréed and thickened-liquid diets, as well as other physician-prescribed modifications.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie theater, wellness center, internet, communal gardens, on-site religious services, stair glides, concierge desk, library, pool, special-interest clubs, multipurpose rooms, a First Horizon bank branch, on-site wellness clinic, woodworking shop and scheduled shuttle transportation for medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
