Rockbridge Oaks offers two distinct levels of professional support: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Licensed nurses oversee both service lines, creating care plans that match each resident’s diagnoses, medication profile, and physician instructions. Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and continence is available around the clock, and staff administer and track medications to help reduce dosing errors. Emergency response systems link each apartment to a staffed care station so that help can be dispatched at any hour, and clinical records are updated daily to keep physicians informed.
Supplemental health resources round out the care model. On-site rehabilitation partners provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy under physician orders, while mobile lab and imaging services limit the need for outside appointments. A secure Memory Care neighborhood reduces elopement risk and incorporates visual cues that support orientation for residents with dementia. Cognitive-based activities, sensory engagement, and family education sessions are scheduled regularly, and routine health assessments trigger timely adjustments to each resident’s plan of care.
Residents choose from studio, one-bedroom, or companion suites designed for senior safety. Apartments include step-in showers with grab bars, emergency pull cords, individual climate controls, and basic cable; some floor plans add kitchenettes, walk-in closets, or private patios, but not all accommodations have all of these features. Weekly housekeeping, linen service, and maintenance are provided, and scheduled transportation connects residents to local appointments and shopping.
The culinary program serves three meals a day in a central dining room, with menu options reviewed by a dietitian to meet nutritional guidelines and physician-ordered diets such as low-sodium, diabetic, or mechanical-soft. Residents can request meal substitutions, enjoy beverages and snacks available throughout the day, or reserve a private dining area for visiting family. Staff monitor meal intake, report any significant changes to the nursing team, and coordinate texture modifications or supplements as needed.
