Woodland Place offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, providing a continuum of support that ranges from daily help with routine activities to specialized programming for residents living with dementia—including advanced stages. The community accepts and manages residents who wander during the day or at night, have a history of elopement, present behavioral challenges, require oxygen, observe special diets, are under 60 years old, or manage diabetes with either oral medications or injections.
Clinical coverage is reinforced by on-site RNs/LPNs, a 24-hour nurse on call, and routine background checks for all staff. Emergency pull cords and personal emergency response systems alert caregivers, and door alarms help protect residents who may wander. A visiting nurse practitioner, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and podiatry services are available in-house, reducing the need for outside appointments. Caregivers can aid with bathing, dressing, and toileting when some physical assistance is needed, supervise meals, and perform walker, wheelchair, standby, or one-person transfers as required.
Accommodations include furnished suites that may feature private bathrooms, roll-in showers, independent temperature controls, cable, and regular housekeeping. Because layouts vary, not every room offers every feature, so families should confirm specific details when touring.
Dining follows a set menu with scheduled mealtimes, but snacks are always on hand. The kitchen can modify textures to mechanical chop or purée and accommodate physician-ordered diet plans, ensuring residents who need diabetic or other therapeutic diets receive appropriate meals.
The community permits outdoor smoking, welcomes pets, maintains an on-site barber and beauty shop, offers internet access and a library, and has gathering areas such as a fireplace lounge and a sunroom. Transportation is available for medical appointments only. Rates are all-inclusive, so families will not encounter extra care charges. It's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
