Myrtle Beach Estates provides two levels of long-term care: assisted living for residents who need help with day-to-day tasks and a dedicated memory care program for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The community accepts residents who wander during the day or night, those with a history of elopement, combative or other behavioral concerns, and people who stay up throughout the night. Clinical capabilities include wound care, oxygen therapy, management of special diets, and diabetes oversight for individuals using oral medication, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. The team also admits adults younger than 60 when appropriate.
A licensed nurse is on site around the clock, backed by a personal emergency response system that calls 911 when needed. On-site services include medication management, incontinence and ambulatory care, hospice coordination, occupational and physical therapy, and podiatry visits. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer support ranges from standby help for walker users to two-person or Hoyer lift transfers for bed-bound residents.
Apartments at Myrtle Beach Estates can be furnished and feature private bathrooms, cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry. Not every unit offers every feature, so families should confirm availability when touring. Regular maintenance and safety checks are part of the standard service package.
Meals follow a set menu designed to accommodate doctor-ordered diets, with snacks offered between meals. Staff monitor intake for residents who need help eating and adjust portions or textures to meet individual medical or nutritional requirements.
Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, internet access, communal gardens, and organized special-interest clubs. Scheduled transportation is available for medical appointments, errands, and community outings, helping residents stay connected to the wider Myrtle Beach area.
