Harbison Shores Assisted Living & Memory Care offers both Assisted Living and dedicated Memory Care programs. The community is equipped to support residents managing moderate dementia and those who are diabetics on oral medications. Care plans are individualized, allowing residents to receive the level of oversight appropriate to their needs while preserving as much independence as possible.
Daily health oversight is reinforced by an RN or LPN on staff, an Activity Director, and 24-hour security and staff presence. On-site medical services are available up to 12ā16 hours a day and include occupational and physical therapy, podiatry, hospice coordination, memory-specific programming, medication management, and incontinence and ambulatory care. The enclosed courtyard provides a safe outdoor space for residents with memory concerns. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as some assistance with eating. Transfer support ranges from standby or supervision to one-person transfers for residents using walkers or wheelchairs.
Residences offer practical touches such as kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable service, though not every unit contains every feature. Floor plans are designed for easy navigation and to accommodate adaptive equipment when needed.
Meals follow a set menu, with staff prepared to modify textures or portion sizes to align with physician recommendations. Consistent meal scheduling helps residents, particularly those with memory concerns, maintain regular routines and stable blood-sugar levels.
Residents have access to community-wide internet, concierge assistance for daily tasks or appointments, and scheduled transportation for medical visits, shopping, or outings.
