Florence Presbyterian Community provides two primary levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents in either program have access to diabetes monitoring and management, short-term respite stays, and scheduled sessions with a speech therapist. The goal is to maintain daily functioning while addressing specific health conditions, whether a resident needs help with routine activities or specialized memory support.
Additional medical resources are available on site to minimize outside appointments. Physical and occupational therapists visit the community, nurses are on duty, and staff deliver medication management, incontinence care, and ambulatory assistance. A structured wellness program supports preventive health, and laundry and dry-cleaning services are integrated into care plans to reduce infection risk. Independent Living apartments are located on the same campus, allowing couples with different care needs to remain close.
Residences range from studios to larger apartment layouts. Depending on the specific unit, features can include wheelchair-accessible showers, in-unit washers and dryers, cable television, and designated parking spaces. Outdoor patios, landscaped walking paths, and garden areas give residents safe spaces to spend time outside, and a library with computer access offers indoor quiet zones. Housekeeping is provided, but not every accommodation contains every feature listed.
Three daily meals are prepared and served in a restaurant-style dining room where table service allows residents to order from rotating menus. The culinary team coordinates with clinical staff to adapt textures, control carbohydrates, and meet other diet prescriptions. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and guests can purchase meals when visiting.
Residents use an activity center for arts and crafts, club meetings, and scheduled health and wellness programs. Off-site outings, social events, and a swimming pool provide additional options for staying active. These amenities are organized to encourage participation without requiring residents to leave the security of the campus unless they choose to.
