Daniel Pointe Retirement Community offers Independent Living with targeted medical support for residents who need it. The community accepts residents younger than 60, accommodates special diets, and monitors diabetics on oral medications. Mild dementia is supported, and residents can continue to live in an independent setting while receiving appropriate oversight for cognitive changes.
Around-the-clock staffing and security include an activity director, 24-hour staff presence, and emergency response through pull cords or personal emergency response systems that can alert staff or call 911 directly. A therapy room is available on site for rehabilitative needs. Staff can give some physical assistance with bathing and dressing, provide standby supervision for toileting, and respect residents’ ability to self-manage eating. Transfers with walkers or wheelchairs are also supported.
Apartments come with options such as private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual temperature controls, cable service, and regular housekeeping and scheduled laundry, though not every unit contains every feature. Independent Living residents receive medication-management monitoring, routine housekeeping, laundry service, and a monthly meal plan as part of their package, allowing them to concentrate on daily life rather than chores.
Dining services feature both set menus and made-to-order choices, with snacks available throughout the day, in-room dining, and a private dining room for family visits. Diet modifications can include gluten-free meals, mechanical chop, purées, thickened liquids, and vegetarian selections to meet physician or resident preferences.
Residents have access to parking, outdoor smoking areas, and pet-friendly policies; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. The campus is wheelchair accessible and houses a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge desk, library, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for errands and appointments.
