The Haven in the Summitt is a memory-care community that centers its clinical program on residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The team can admit individuals for long-term memory care or for short respite stays, and staff members are trained to monitor diabetes, coordinate care with an on-site physician, and deliver speech therapy when needed.
Beyond the basic service lines, the property maintains 24-hour security in a secured setting built specifically for memory loss, and it operates as a memory-care–only community. Residents have access to on-site physical and occupational therapy, incontinence and ambulatory support, medication management, podiatry, and hospice services. These services are delivered in-house to limit disruptive outside trips and to keep care teams fully informed.
Apartments and suites vary, and not every unit includes every feature. Floor plans may accommodate small pets, and many open directly to monitored outdoor areas. Certain bathrooms contain wheelchair-accessible showers, and designated parking is available for residents who still drive or for visiting family members.
Meals are provided daily, with menus adapted to meet the nutritional needs common in memory-care settings, including carbohydrate-controlled selections for residents managing diabetes. Staff oversee all dining periods to ensure meals are eaten safely and to note any sudden changes in appetite or swallowing ability.
The community schedules structured activities in an on-site activity center and encourages supervised time outdoors when weather allows. These programs are designed to maintain cognitive engagement and safe physical movement while keeping residents within secured boundaries.
