Forest Pines offers Independent Living and dedicated support for residents living with dementia. Care is coordinated by on-site staff around the clock, and the community’s therapy room allows visiting clinicians to provide rehabilitative therapies without residents having to leave the building. Assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting is available when a resident’s own abilities change, and medication management monitoring can be arranged for those in the Independent Living program who need an extra layer of oversight.
Additional safeguards include 24-hour security personnel, door-alarmed exits, and in-room pull cords that connect directly to 911, giving residents and families a clear response plan for emergencies. An Activity Director develops structured and memory-friendly programs each day, helping residents maintain cognitive skills and routine. Housekeeping, laundry, and a monthly meal plan are included for Independent Living residents, reducing everyday responsibilities while still allowing them to maintain control over their schedules.
Apartments range in size and layout, and not every unit contains every feature. Many residences include a private bathroom, kitchenette, cable access, and scheduled housekeeping and laundry services. Routine maintenance is handled by staff so residents can focus on their own interests rather than home upkeep.
Dining is served from a set menu prepared by the culinary team and adjusted for common dietary requirements. Meals are taken in a communal dining room to encourage regular social interaction, and Independent Living residents who prefer to cook occasionally in their own kitchenettes can still rely on their monthly meal plan for at least one balanced meal each day.
Resident parking is available, and the grounds are wheelchair accessible to make movement through the community straightforward. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Other conveniences include an on-site barber and beauty shop, internet access, concierge services, a library, and organized special-interest clubs. Religious services are held on site, and scheduled transportation, as well as proximity to public transit, make medical appointments and local errands easier to manage.
