Clemson Heritage Senior Living offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and a dedicated Memory Care program. Licensed nurses oversee care plans, perform regular health assessments, and coordinate with outside physicians to keep medication lists current. In Assisted Living, residents receive help with bathing, dressing, mobility, and other daily tasks, while still having access to scheduled social and wellness programs. Independent Living residents can add clinical services if their needs change, allowing them to remain in the same community. The secure Memory Care neighborhood features staff trained in dementia-specific techniques, routine cognitive evaluations, and controlled access to reduce the risk of wandering.
Beyond the core care levels, the community provides 24-hour staffing, an on-site emergency response system, and daily safety checks. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy can be arranged on campus, and visiting specialists such as podiatrists and audiologists hold clinic hours. Transportation to outside medical appointments is available, and family members receive regular care conferences to stay informed. Short-term respite stays and hospice coordination are offered as needs evolve, and the staff handles scheduling of lab work, imaging, and pharmacy deliveries to streamline residents’ medical routines.
Accommodations range from studios to two-bedroom apartments with options for private or companion occupancy. Select floor plans include kitchenettes, walk-in closets, and step-in showers with grab bars, though not all accommodations have all these features. Utilities, maintenance, weekly housekeeping, and laundry service are included, and an emergency call system is standard. Pets are allowed. It's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Residents receive three daily meals in the restaurant-style dining room, with menus approved by a registered dietitian and adjusted for diabetic, low-sodium, or texture-modified diets. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and hydration is monitored for those with fluid-intake goals. For special occasions, a private dining room can be reserved, and room service is offered during short-term illness or recovery.
