Mifflin Court provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, giving residents access to regular support with daily tasks as well as structured programming for varying stages of dementia, including advanced conditions. The care team is prepared to manage medical needs such as daytime or nighttime wandering, risk of elopement, up-all-night patterns, oxygen use, special diets, and diabetes—whether controlled by oral medication or insulin injections.
Clinical coverage includes an RN or LPN on staff with a nurse on call 24/7, and night-shift caregivers remain awake. Background-checked staff supervise secure, alarmed doors and use wander-guard systems; residents can summon help through pull-cords or PERS pendants. On-site podiatry visits reduce the need for outside appointments. Caregivers can assist with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting when only some physical help is required, and they support transfers involving walkers, wheelchairs, standby supervision, or one-person assistance.
Apartments may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, furnishings, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate, though not every unit offers every feature. Residents can select layouts that meet their preferences and modify them within community guidelines.
Dining includes a set menu as well as made-to-order selections, with snacks available throughout the day. The culinary staff can alter meals to accommodate medical or personal dietary needs, coordinating closely with nursing staff for residents who require special diets or diabetic management.
Amenities on the campus include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, and internet access. Religious services occur on site, and the community provides scheduled transportation while also being close to public transit. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
