Concordia of the South Hills offers three levels of residence—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—allowing residents to move to the setting that best matches their current and future healthcare needs. A licensed nurse is on-site around the clock, supported by additional RNs and LPNs, providing continual monitoring for residents who wander, exhibit behavioral changes, or require complex diabetic management, oxygen therapy, or wound care. The community is equipped to handle both oral and injection-based diabetes protocols, sliding-scale regimens, and advanced dementia conditions. Night-shift staff remain awake, and a Personal Emergency Response System immediately alerts staff should any resident need assistance.
Beyond routine nursing, the community houses a full suite of on-site medical services, including occupational and speech therapies, stroke and cardiac care, dialysis coordination, and structured Memory Care programming. Residents who need full help with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting receive hands-on care, and transfer assistance ranges from supervision to two-person lifts for wheelchair users. Concordia also supports family counseling, continuing care planning, and maintains 24-hour security personnel for added peace of mind.
Private and semi-private suites are available; some include a private bathroom, some a kitchenette, and others cable service, but not every unit offers all three. Independent Living apartments add housekeeping and personal laundry service, freeing residents from daily chores. All layouts are wheelchair accessible, and routine maintenance is handled by on-site staff.
Three chef-prepared meals are served daily in the main dining room, with menu adaptations for therapeutic diets. Independent Living residents may opt for a monthly meal plan, allowing flexibility for those who prefer to cook occasionally in their own kitchenette. Snacks and hydration stations are available throughout the day, and staff can provide assisted dining for anyone who needs help cutting food or monitoring intake.
Residents have access to on-site parking, an exercise room, movie theater, wellness center with internet access, barber and beauty services, communal gardens, and regularly scheduled religious services. Transportation is arranged for medical appointments, shopping trips, and social outings, and all common areas are designed to be wheelchair friendly.
