Mt. Assisi Place is an assisted-living community designed for residents who are largely independent but benefit from structured support. The staff is equipped to monitor and manage diabetes, including blood-glucose checks and medication assistance, and residents have access to on-site podiatry for foot health and balance issues. Although the community does not provide specialized memory care, it concentrates resources on maintaining residents’ physical health and daily stability.
A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on site, with additional nursing support available around the clock by phone. Team members undergo background checks, work awake night shifts, and rely on a personal emergency response system to summon help quickly. Full assistance can be provided with bathing, dressing, and toileting, while eating support is available for those who need some physical guidance. Transfer help ranges from standby supervision to one-person assistance and accommodates walkers and wheelchairs. The building is staffed 24 hours a day, and a dedicated activity director oversees daily programming.
Apartments are offered in several layouts, some with private bathrooms and basic furnishings; not every unit includes every feature. Cable service is available in selected residences, and housekeeping handles routine cleaning and linen changes to keep living spaces orderly.
Meals follow a set menu prepared three times daily, and snacks are on hand between dining periods. The kitchen can adjust textures and diets—including mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other physician-ordered modifications—to meet individual clinical needs.
The community is wheelchair accessible and maintains a barber and beauty shop, a wellness center for basic fitness and health programs, and regular on-site religious services. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
