Mount Angel Towers Retirement Community provides two levels of residential care: Assisted Living and Independent Living. Residents who choose the Assisted Living option receive individualized care plans designed and reviewed by licensed nurses. Daily medication management, regular vitals monitoring, and coordination with outside physicians and pharmacies are standard. Certified caregivers are on duty around the clock to respond to urgent needs, and every apartment is linked to an emergency call system that connects directly to trained staff. Independent Living residents live without routine hands-on assistance but can add medical services à la carte, such as nursing checks or help after a hospital stay, allowing them to age in place without relocating within the community.
Beyond direct medical support, the community offers practical services that help residents maintain day-to-day stability. Staff assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, and toileting based on each person’s care plan. Scheduled transportation is available for medical appointments, and the on-site wellness program includes fall-prevention classes and chronic-disease education. A visiting physical, occupational, and speech therapy team can work with residents under Medicare or private insurance orders, and lab work can be drawn on site to reduce off-campus trips.
Housing options range from studio apartments to two-bedroom units, some with full kitchens and others with kitchenettes. Every accommodation includes basic utilities, weekly housekeeping, and maintenance, while select floor plans add features such as private balconies, in-unit laundry, or walk-in closets. Safety elements—grab bars, non-slip flooring, and emergency pull cords—are installed in most bathrooms, though specific features vary by unit. Not all accommodations have all the features, so prospective residents should review available layouts during a tour.
Meals are prepared by an in-house culinary team and served restaurant-style in the main dining room three times a day, with a continental breakfast option for early risers. Menus rotate on a four-week cycle and always include at least two entrée choices, one of which meets low-sodium or diabetic guidelines. Residents who require modified textures or fortified meals receive those adjustments without extra cost, and staff are available to provide cueing or direct assistance with eating when needed. A bistro remains open between meals for coffee, fruit, and light snacks, and residents may reserve a private dining room for family gatherings.
