The Springs at Happy Valley offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, allowing residents to transition between levels of support without leaving the community. The team is equipped to manage a wide range of medical needs, including residents who wander during the day or night, those at risk for elopement, complex behavioral issues, and individuals who remain awake overnight. Clinical support extends to wound care, oxygen management, special diets, and diabetes oversight for both oral medications and insulin injections. The Memory Care program is structured to accommodate people living with advanced dementia while preserving their routines and safety.
Clinical staffing includes an RN or LPN on site with a nurse available by phone 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks; night‐shift staff remain awake, and caregivers respond to door alarms, pull cords, and personal emergency response systems. On-site medical services—podiatry, audiology, dental care, and a therapy room—reduce the need for outside appointments. Caregivers provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, and can offer some help with eating. Transfer capabilities range from standby supervision and walker assistance to one-person transfers, full transfers with a Hoyer lift, and support for residents who are bed bound.
Apartments may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate; however, not every unit features every amenity. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are provided, with additional housekeeping and a monthly meal plan available to Independent Living residents. Dining options include set menus, on-order choices, snacks around the clock, in-room meal service, and a private dining room for family events. Dietary accommodations cover gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanically chopped, pureed, and thickened liquid diets.
Residents have access to on-site parking, outdoor smoking areas, pet-friendly policies, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge desk, library, pool, and special-interest clubs. Transportation options include scheduled community trips, medical-only shuttle service, and proximity to public transit. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
