Fairlawn of Olympus offers Independent Living with an emphasis on predictable medical oversight. The community accepts adults younger than 60 and is staffed to observe and respond to mild dementia conditions. Residents in Independent Living may opt into medication-management monitoring, a service that tracks doses and timing without requiring relocation to a higher level of care.
Daily support is organized around clear protocols. Staff members are on-site 24 hours a day, and every apartment has pull-cords that can either notify staff or dial 911 directly. Team members can step in to cue or assist with self-care tasks—bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting—as needed, and they are trained to work with both walker and wheelchair transfers.
Apartments vary by layout. Some include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and the option to repaint or decorate, while other floor plans offer a more basic setup without every feature listed. Residents can schedule routine housekeeping and laundry through the Independent Living service package.
Dining follows a set menu, and snacks are available between meals. Independent Living residents can enroll in a monthly meal plan that aligns with their medication-management schedule. The plan is designed to cover three meals a day but can be adjusted for lighter appetites.
The campus provides resident parking, is wheelchair accessible, and has an on-site barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, internet access points, and communal gardens. Regular religious services are held in the building, and scheduled transportation is offered; the property is also close to public transit stops. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
