Meadowbrook Place offers an assisted living program designed to keep residents medically supported while maintaining as much independence as possible. Licensed nurses oversee health services, perform regular wellness checks and coordinate directly with residents’ physicians to adjust care plans. Trained caregivers are on-site around the clock to manage medications, monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes or hypertension, and respond to emergencies through an in-room call system that links directly to staff. The community works with local pharmacies for accurate medication dispensing and arranges on-site visits from home health and therapy providers when ordered.
Beyond strictly clinical services, residents receive daily assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and other activities of daily living based on individual need. Scheduled transportation is available for medical appointments, and the staff handles appointment reminders and paperwork coordination. Residents can participate in exercise classes, fall-prevention programs, and health education sessions that aim to preserve strength and balance. Housekeeping, laundry and maintenance are included so residents can focus on social activities, outings in Baker City and the on-site events calendar.
Accommodations range from studio to one-bedroom apartments, each with a private bathroom and emergency call equipment. Select units include kitchenettes, step-in showers, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and basic cable service, but not all accommodations have all the features listed. Weekly housekeeping, linen service and routine maintenance are provided, and pets are allowed in designated apartments. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Residents take meals in a communal dining room where staff serve three daily dishes that rotate on a seasonal menu. Entrée selections accommodate diabetic, low-sodium, heart-healthy and other physician-ordered diets, and snacks are available throughout the day. Those who are ill or recovering from a procedure may request tray service to their apartment. Family members are welcome to join meals with advance notice, and the culinary team encourages resident feedback through periodic food forums to keep menus aligned with preferences and nutritional guidelines.
