Waverly Place provides both Assisted Living and a dedicated Memory Care program, enabling residents to remain in the same community even as care needs change. The team is prepared to manage moderate dementia conditions and the behaviors that can accompany them, such as daytime or nighttime wandering and other behavioral challenges. Nurses are trained to handle wound care, oxygen therapy, and specialized dietary requirements. Diabetic management is available for residents using either oral medications or insulin injections, and the kitchen staff works closely with nursing to coordinate these medical diets.
A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on staff, with a nurse on call 24 hours a day, and all employees complete background checks. An awake night shift monitors residents, and each apartment is equipped with a pull-cord alert system that notifies staff if assistance is needed. On-site medical services include incontinence and ambulatory care, massage therapy, and a secure Memory Care–only area. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting receive that help, and transfer support ranges from standby supervision to one-person transfers for those using walkers or wheelchairs.
Apartments at Waverly Place include features such as private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual climate controls, cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry, although specific features can vary by unit. Residents can furnish and decorate their spaces to suit personal preferences while benefiting from maintenance-free living and 24-hour emergency response.
Meals are served three times daily, offering both set menus and made-to-order options, with snacks available throughout the day. In-room dining is possible for those recuperating or who prefer private meals, and a separate dining room is available for family gatherings. The culinary team can accommodate diet modifications such as mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other physician-ordered restrictions.
Residents have access to parking, and the campus is wheelchair accessible with outdoor smoking areas. Amenities include a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, a library, and scheduled transportation while also being close to public transit. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
