The Chateau of Lawton offers two primary levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive help with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and medication reminders while maintaining as much independence as possible. The Memory Care program is structured for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia; care plans focus on predictable routines, structured engagement, and staff trained in dementia support.
Medical oversight extends beyond routine assistance. Licensed nurses coordinate medications and oversee in-house services from doctors, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. The community accepts residents needing diabetes monitoring, incontinence care, ambulatory support, respite stays, and hospice coordination. A secured environment and an emergency call system operate around the clock, adding layers of safety for residents who may wander or require immediate help.
Living options vary and not all apartments feature every amenity. Floor plans may include kitchenettes, a balcony, deck, terrace, or patio, and wheelchair-accessible showers. Cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and individual climate controls are available in many units. The community is air-conditioned throughout, and selected suites are pet-friendly. Outdoor areas and parking are provided for those who keep a vehicle or enjoy time outside, and a piano or organ is situated in a common area for resident use.
Meals are prepared on-site three times a day, with staff accommodating vegetarian choices, low-sodium diets, and no-sugar menus for residents with dietary restrictions. Guest meals can be arranged so family members can dine with loved ones. Hydration stations and snacks are available between meals, and staff monitor nutritional intake for residents who need assistance.
Residents have access to an activity center, library and computer lounge, and both indoor and outdoor walking paths. Social calendars include clubs, community outings, happy hours, birthday celebrations, live music events, swimming sessions, and yoga or chair yoga classes. The community schedules regular social outings to local destinations, ensuring that residents maintain ties with the broader Lawton area while enjoying structured opportunities for exercise and recreation on campus.
