Touchmark at Coffee Creek offers three levels of residence—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and dedicated Memory Care—allowing residents to move through the continuum without leaving the community. An on-site nursing team of RNs and LPNs manages medication, diabetic care, incontinence programs, hospice coordination, and other clinical needs. Advanced dementia conditions are supported, and staff are trained to handle elopement risks and combative behaviors. Physical, occupational, and massage therapists, as well as a podiatrist, visit the campus, and the building is designed to accommodate memory loss with clear way-finding cues. Non-ambulatory and ambulatory care are both available, so residents who rely on walkers, wheelchairs, or require one-person transfers receive appropriate assistance.
Safety and staffing protocols include 24-hour awake and asleep night staff, door alarms, a fenced rear area, pull cords, and PERS devices that alert caregivers. Background checks are completed on all team members, an activity director coordinates programs seven days a week, and security personnel remain on site around the clock. Full assistance can be provided with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting for residents who need it. Support ranges from simple standby help to hands-on transfers, ensuring residents maintain daily routines with minimal disruption.
Apartments vary in layout; some have private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and basic cable, while others include only a portion of these features. Weekly housekeeping and linen service are standard for Assisted Living and Memory Care. Independent Living residents receive housekeeping on a scheduled basis and may opt into a monthly meal plan while retaining more autonomy over their daily routines.
Three daily meals are served in a central dining room. Residents can select from a set menu or order from an à-la-carte list at each meal, and snacks are available throughout the day. The culinary staff accommodates physician-ordered and resident-requested diet modifications, such as low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, or mechanically altered textures. Room service is arranged when a resident’s condition makes table service impractical.
The campus provides resident parking, underground parking for those who prefer covered spaces, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, wellness center, internet access, library, cards and game room, communal gardens, on-site religious services, IL resident storage, a storm shelter, and scheduled transportation for shopping and medical appointments. Outdoor smoking is permitted in designated areas, and pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
