The Veraden supports three levels of residential care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—so residents can remain on the same campus even if their needs change. Licensed staff are on-site around the clock to assist with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and cognitive support, allowing residents to receive appropriate care without moving to another facility.
Additional clinical services include short-term respite stays, diabetes monitoring, incontinence management, and help with ambulation. Blood-glucose checks, medication adjustments, and other health tasks are provided in-house, minimizing trips off property. By combining these medical services with its primary care types, the community delivers a steady continuum of support.
Apartments range from studios to two-bedroom layouts. Select units are pet friendly, have direct access to outdoor areas, or sit near the library and computer lounge, while others provide reserved parking or garden views. Not every accommodation includes every feature, so checking availability during a tour is recommended. Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping and personal laundry services to reduce day-to-day responsibilities.
Meals are served three times daily from a rotating set menu, and an on-order option lets residents request alternate dishes at each sitting. The kitchen can follow physician-directed dietary plans, including carbohydrate-controlled meals for residents managing diabetes, and meals may be delivered to an apartment when illness or personal preference requires it.
Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, an exercise room, wellness center, outdoor pool, movie room, computer center, library, and several lounges. An underground tornado shelter offers protection during severe weather, and scheduled transportation is provided for shopping, medical appointments, and local events. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
