Stone Creek in Edmond, Oklahoma, provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, allowing residents with differing levels of support needs to remain in the same community as their conditions change. Diabetes management, on-site speech therapy, physician oversight and the option for respite or short-term stays are available, and the Memory Care program is designed to support residents living with moderate dementia.
An RN or LPN is on staff, and a nurse is on call around the clock. The building is staffed 24/7, is secured with fenced outdoor areas, door alarms, pull-cord alert systems and regular safety checks. Residents have access to incontinence care, ambulatory assistance, medication coordination and management, hospice services, and rehabilitation therapies delivered by occupational, physical and podiatry specialists. Bathing, dressing, eating and toileting can all be provided with full assistance, and staff can perform transfers ranging from standby help to one-person lifts for residents using walkers or wheelchairs.
Accommodations include studio and one-bedroom layouts; some have private bathrooms and cable service, though these features are not present in every unit. Apartments are designed for ease of movement, and maintenance and utilities are handled by the community to reduce resident responsibilities.
The dining program offers three daily meals served in a central dining room, along with snacks available throughout the day. Menus can be modified for medical or personal dietary needs, and staff monitor intake for residents who require additional oversight.
Residents may take advantage of on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, an exercise room, internet access, a barber and beauty salon and landscaped communal gardens. Scheduled transportation to medical appointments and errands is provided. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
