Brookdale Wooster offers three levels of residential care—Independent Living for residents who want minimal support, Assisted Living for those who need day-to-day help, and a secure Memory Care program designed for individuals living with moderate dementia. Residents have access to on-site physical therapy and a structured mental wellness program, and licensed nurses are available up to sixteen hours a day for clinical oversight. The community also provides wound care, diabetic monitoring, occupational therapy, medication management, and coordination with hospice when needed, allowing many residents to remain on campus as needs change without a disruptive move.
Round-the-clock clinical coverage is supported by RNs or LPNs, with an awake night shift to respond to any change in condition. All team members undergo background checks, and an activity director oversees engagement programs throughout the week. Safety measures include door alarms, pull-cord and personal emergency response systems that alert staff, and 24-hour security on site. For personal care, staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby supervision to one-person physical assists, and both walker and wheelchair mobility are accommodated.
Residences vary in size and layout, but most offer private bathrooms, individual climate controls, and cable service; some also include kitchenettes and the option to paint or decorate to personal preference. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided, and maintenance requests are handled by on-site staff. Because floor plans differ, prospective residents should confirm which features are included in the suite they choose.
Dining services accommodate a range of preferences and clinical diet orders. Residents may select from a set menu or order meals on demand, with snacks available throughout the day and the option for in-room or private-room dining when desired. The culinary team can prepare gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical soft, puréed, and thickened-liquid diets, and staff is available to assist individuals who require full help with eating.
Amenities support both convenience and leisure. The campus includes resident parking, walking paths, communal gardens, and a porch that adjoins a fireside living room. A barber and beauty shop, ice cream parlor, therapy room, and concierge services are located on site, and Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs are available in common areas. Residents can attend religious services without leaving the building, join special-interest clubs, enjoy live music at the piano, and send or receive mail through campus postal services. Scheduled transportation is provided for appointments and errands, and emergency response systems are installed in each apartment. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
