Cape May Retirement Village provides assisted-living care designed to support residents who need help with daily activities while maintaining as much independence as possible. Licensed nursing staff are on site around the clock to monitor vital signs, manage medications, and respond to health changes. Care aides assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, and continence support according to each resident’s service plan. Physicians visit the community regularly, and the team coordinates laboratory work, imaging, and specialist referrals so residents can receive ongoing medical oversight without leaving the campus unless necessary.
Beyond core medical services, the community offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy through an on-site rehabilitation partner, along with fall-prevention and strength-building programs. Scheduled transportation is available for off-site medical appointments, and the staff handles insurance paperwork and prescription refills. Short-stay respite is offered for families who need temporary coverage, and hospice agencies can provide end-of-life support within the resident’s apartment. An emergency call system links directly to the care station, and disaster and evacuation plans are in place and reviewed with families.
Accommodations are located in three distinct areas—Midwest Village, Nicholas Conservatory, and Anderson Gardens—each offering a mix of studio and one-bedroom layouts. Depending on the building and floor plan, apartments may include features such as private patios, step-in showers, kitchenettes, and in-unit laundry, though not all accommodations have all the features. Weekly housekeeping, linen service, basic maintenance, and all utilities except personal phone are bundled into the monthly rate. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Three daily meals are prepared by the culinary team and served restaurant-style in the main dining room, with a bistro available for lighter fare and snacks throughout the day. Menus are reviewed by a registered dietitian to accommodate diabetic, low-sodium, and mechanical-soft diets, and pureed options can be provided when clinically required. Residents may reserve a private dining area for family celebrations, and tray service to the apartment is offered during illness or recovery. Complimentary beverages are available at hydration stations, and staff track intake for residents with physician-ordered nutritional monitoring.
