The Inn at Coal Ridge delivers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, including services for residents with moderate dementia as well as individuals needing a short-term respite stay. On-site medical oversight is provided by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, visiting physicians, and a speech therapist, and the community has systems in place for diabetes monitoring and management. Residents have access to hospice coordination, medication administration, and specialized programs designed to accommodate memory loss, ensuring continuity of care at every stage.
Round-the-clock clinical staffing includes an RN or LPN on duty 24 hours a day, supported by awake and asleep night-shift teams, background-checked caregivers, and an activity director. Apartments are equipped with pull cords and optional personal emergency response systems, and exit doors are alarmed. The clinical team is able to give full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and can safely manage walkers, wheelchairs, standby help, one-person, or two-person transfers. Additional on-site services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, incontinence care, laundry, and routine housekeeping reduce the need for outside appointments.
Accommodation choices range from suites with private bathrooms and kitchenettes to more traditional rooms; not every residence includes every feature. Some apartments allow individual temperature control, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are provided, and staff can handle personal laundry when needed.
Meals are served from a set menu in the main dining room, with snacks available throughout the day. Residents who prefer privacy can request in-room dining or reserve the private dining room for family visits. Dietary needs linked to medical conditions—such as diabetes—are coordinated with nursing and culinary staff to maintain consistency in care.
Residents have access to parking, a barber and beauty salon, movie room, internet connectivity, communal gardens, on-site religious services, a library, a bird aviary, and scheduled transportation for errands or medical appointments. Pets are allowed. It's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
