Jamestown – Edgewood delivers two principal levels of care. Assisted Living is available for residents who require daily oversight yet wish to remain as independent as possible, while Memory Care is structured for individuals living with moderate dementia. Both programs are supported by licensed nursing oversight, medication management, routine health monitoring, and coordination with external physicians and therapists. The building maintains an awake night-shift staff, so residents have direct access to trained personnel around the clock for health concerns or unexpected changes in condition.
Daily living support rounds out the medical services. Team members can provide some physical assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, adjusting the level of help as a resident’s abilities change. Care plans are reviewed regularly to ensure that support remains appropriate and that safety measures stay current. Electronic security systems help staff account for all residents, and the Memory Care area uses additional safeguards to prevent wandering while still allowing freedom of movement within secured spaces.
Apartments are designed with senior-friendly features such as step-in showers, lever-style door handles, and emergency call pendants. Studios and one-bedroom layouts are common, and select units include kitchenettes and individual climate controls; not all accommodations have every feature, so prospective residents should confirm availability during a visit. Housekeeping and linen services are included, reducing physical demands on residents and helping maintain a clean environment.
The dining program offers three daily meals prepared on site, with menu options reviewed by a dietitian to support common clinical requirements such as low-sodium or diabetic diets. Residents can choose between table service in the main dining room or, when medically necessary, tray service in their apartments. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, and family members may arrange to join meals with advance notice.
Residents have access to a wellness center for exercise and therapy sessions, campus-wide internet access for communication and entertainment, a library stocked with large-print and audio materials, and staff-organized special interest clubs that encourage social interaction and cognitive engagement.
