Hay Creek Lodge in Bismarck provides Assisted Living and Independent Living, each supported by on-site medical oversight. Licensed nurses coordinate care plans, manage medications, and supervise a 24-hour caregiver team that can assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, and other daily needs. Residents who remain in Independent Living still have access to emergency response systems and scheduled health checks, giving them a safety net without the daily hands-on support required in Assisted Living.
Beyond routine nursing care, the community offers rehabilitation therapy on referral, chronic-condition monitoring, and scheduled transportation to local clinics for specialty appointments. A nurse reviews each resident’s health status regularly, updating physicians and family members as needed. Fall-prevention programs, vaccination clinics, and group fitness classes are in place to help residents maintain strength and reduce hospital visits. Housekeeping, laundry, and basic maintenance are included so residents can focus on their health and activities.
Apartments range from studios to one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Features such as private bathrooms with step-in showers, individual climate controls, kitchenettes, and emergency pull cords are available in many units, although not every apartment includes every feature. Utilities other than phone are typically bundled into the monthly fee, and weekly housekeeping is provided. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Three meals a day are served in the main dining room, with menus planned by a dietitian to cover regular, diabetic, low-sodium, and other physician-ordered diets. Residents may request alternative entrées or lighter fare, and snacks are stocked in common areas throughout the day. Guests can join residents for meals for a nominal fee, and a private dining room is available for family gatherings when reserved in advance.
