Bismarck – Edgewood On Dominion offers three distinct levels of residential care. Independent living residents have the freedom to handle daily routines on their own while still having access to staff and community resources. Assisted living provides a structured setting for older adults who require regular but limited help with tasks, allowing them to maintain as much personal independence as possible. Memory care is available for individuals with moderate dementia conditions; this specialized program incorporates tailored routines, simplified surroundings and staff trained to recognize and respond to cognitive challenges.
Around-the-clock support is anchored by an awake night-shift team that monitors resident safety and responds promptly to needs. During daytime and evening hours, caregivers deliver some physical assistance with bathing, eating, dressing and toileting as requested in each resident’s service plan. Medication reminders, scheduled health checks and coordination with outside medical providers are part of the everyday routine, helping residents manage chronic conditions and reducing hospital visits.
Living quarters range from studio layouts to multi-room apartments, each equipped with basic kitchen or kitchenette facilities, emergency call systems and accessible bathrooms. Select units add features such as private patios, in-suite laundry or extra storage; however, not all accommodations include every option. Housekeeping, linen service and routine maintenance are provided so residents can focus on daily activities rather than home upkeep.
Meals are prepared on site and served three times a day in a shared dining room, with entrees rotated to satisfy nutritional guidelines and personal tastes. Alternate choices, therapeutic diets and texture-modified plates are available when ordered in advance. Between meals, residents can visit designated snack areas or request room-service trays, though availability of these extras can vary by apartment type and care level.
Residents have use of a wellness center for exercise and rehab sessions, community-wide internet access for personal devices, an on-site library for reading and computer work, and organized special-interest clubs that help neighbors connect over hobbies and lifelong learning.
