Forsyth Court is structured for residents who are able to live independently. The community does not provide a dedicated memory-care program and is not set up to manage dementia-related needs. Residents are expected to handle most daily activities on their own, making this community best suited for individuals who want the convenience of a senior setting without the higher level of clinical oversight found in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.
An on-site RN or LPN is available for basic health monitoring and to coordinate outside medical services when needed. A full-time activity director plans daily programs, but personal assistance is deliberately limited. Staff can cue or observe residents during bathing, eating, and dressing, while toileting support extends to some physical assistance. Beyond those tasks, residents must be capable of managing their medications, mobility, and other health requirements independently.
Apartments vary in layout and size, and not every unit contains the same features. Many units are wired for cable television, and the community provides routine housekeeping and scheduled laundry for linens and personal clothing. Residents who prefer to handle some chores on their own are free to do so, but staff can step in on the preset housekeeping timetable.
Dining is offered on a set menu schedule three times a day in the main dining room, with an additional private dining room available for family gatherings or special events. Menu selections rotate but are not made-to-order; residents choose from the day’s predetermined options. Dietary modifications must be arranged in advance with the kitchen staff.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, internet access, communal gardens, and a library. Scheduled transportation is available for shopping, medical appointments, and local outings. Pets are allowed in designated units; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
