The Gardens of Statesville provides two primary levels of care—Assisted Living and a secure Memory Care program—so residents can remain in the same community even as needs change. Licensed nurses oversee medication management, blood-glucose monitoring and insulin administration for residents with diabetes on oral agents or injections. Individuals living with any stage of dementia, including advanced conditions, receive structured cognitive support and behavioral monitoring. The community also brings several clinical resources on-site, including physical, occupational and podiatry services, incontinence management, hospice coordination and ambulatory care. This breadth of medical support allows most residents to avoid disruptive off-site appointments.
Daily care tasks are covered by certified staff who stay on duty around the clock. An RN or LPN is on site, a nurse remains on call 24 hours a day, and an awake night shift responds to pull-cord alerts in resident rooms. All employees undergo background checks, and the building maintains continuous security coverage. Residents who need hands-on help with bathing, dressing, eating or toileting can receive full assistance, and the team is trained to provide walker guidance, wheelchair mobility, standby supervision or a one-person transfer when required. An activity director rounds out the care program by organizing purposeful engagement that fits each resident’s physical and cognitive abilities.
Living quarters include studio and one-bedroom layouts, some equipped with a private bathroom, individual climate controls and regular housekeeping service. Because floor plans vary, not every unit contains every feature, so families should confirm availability during a tour. Maintenance and utilities are handled by the community, allowing residents to focus on recovery and daily routines.
Meals are prepared three times a day with staff oversight for special diets and adaptive utensils when necessary. Residents may eat in the main dining room or reserve the private dining room for family visits and celebrations. Snacks and hydration stations are offered between meals, and team members remain on hand to cue or assist anyone who has trouble cutting food or maintaining adequate intake.
Additional amenities include resident parking, an on-site barber and beauty shop, a modest exercise room and scheduled transportation for medical appointments and local errands. Pets are allowed in designated areas; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
