Brookdale Salisbury is licensed for Assisted Living and is equipped to support residents living with moderate dementia. Clinical oversight is continuous: an RN or LPN is always on duty, a nurse is on-site 24 hours a day and the building maintains 24-hour staffed security. Routine and specialized care are delivered inside the community, including 12- to 16-hour daily nursing coverage, medication management, wound care, podiatry, dental services and hospice coordination. Ambulatory, incontinence and diabetic needs are addressed through individualized care plans managed in the on-site wellness center.
Rehabilitative and wellness services are carried out in a dedicated therapy room where physical, occupational and speech therapists work alongside the nursing team. A mental wellness program supplements clinical services, and families can arrange respite or short-term stays after hospitalization or during caregiver absences. Select units feature wheelchair-accessible showers, in-unit washer and dryer connections, flat-screen cable TV, Wi-Fi and central air conditioning; not every accommodation includes every feature. Residents who drive have access to surface parking, and all units are a short distance from outdoor walking paths, landscaped gardens, porches and other common spaces.
Meals are prepared three times a day and served restaurant-style. The culinary team offers a set menu but can modify textures, portions or ingredients for diabetic management, low-sodium requirements and other physician-ordered diets. Staff are available in the dining room to provide full assistance with eating when it is part of a resident’s care plan. Meeting rooms can be reserved for family gatherings, and a café-style area offers snacks and beverages between meals.
