Peak Resources–Brookshire offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living programs, each backed by a broad range of clinical services. The team is equipped to care for residents who are combative, have behavioral concerns, stay up throughout the night, or require wound management, oxygen support, custom diets, or diabetes oversight—whether that involves oral medication, injections, or sliding-scale adjustments. Staff members are also trained to work with adults under 60 and can support residents with mild dementia.
Around-the-clock nursing coverage is standard. An RN or LPN is on site 24 hours a day, with an additional nurse on call. Apartments are outfitted with pull-cords and personal emergency response systems that alert staff or call 911 as needed, and exit doors are alarmed. The community completes background checks on employees and maintains an awake night shift. On-site podiatry is available, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Full assistance can be provided for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and the staff can accommodate mobility needs ranging from standby help with a walker to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for bed-bound residents.
Accommodations include private bathrooms, some kitchenettes, basic furnishings, independent temperature controls, cable hookups, and the option to personalize walls with paint or décor; individual apartments vary, and not every feature is present in every unit. Independent Living residents may opt for medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry service, and a monthly meal plan, while still keeping the freedom to handle tasks on their own as desired.
Meals feature a daily set menu with an alternative on-order option at each sitting. Snacks are available between meals, and the kitchen can modify textures or nutrients for physician-ordered diets or resident preference, including low-sodium, heart-healthy, and diabetic-friendly selections.
Residents have access to off-street parking, outdoor smoking areas, full wheelchair accessibility, an on-site barber and beauty salon, an exercise room, internet access, regularly scheduled religious services, and community transportation for errands and appointments. The property is also close to public transit stops for those who prefer to travel independently.
