Carolina Village – CCRC delivers three levels of senior care on one campus. Independent living residents manage their own day-to-day routines but have access to on-site nursing and an emergency response system. Assisted living offers regular help with bathing, dressing, medication administration, and mobility, with licensed nurses available around the clock. The memory care area is specifically structured for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias; it features secured access, smaller staff-to-resident ratios, and caregivers trained in redirection techniques and behavior management.
Beyond the three care settings, the community maintains an on-site medical clinic, weekly physician rounds, and scheduled therapy services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Residents can also receive lab work, imaging, podiatry, and pharmacy delivery without leaving the property. A 24-hour emergency call system ties each residential unit directly to the nursing station, and regular wellness checks are standard for anyone enrolled in higher acuity services. Transportation to outside medical appointments is available for those whose specialists practice off campus.
Housing options range from independent living cottages and apartments to assisted living suites and memory care private rooms. Floor plans may include full kitchens, kitchenettes, screened patios, walk-in closets, or in-unit washer-dryers, but not every accommodation offers every feature. All units come with basic utilities, maintenance, and weekly housekeeping, while select layouts support couples who have different care needs. Pets are allowed in many areas of the community. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
The culinary program provides three daily meals for assisted living and memory care residents, with independent living residents choosing meal plans that fit their preferences. Menus rotate every four weeks and always include heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly, and mechanically softened selections. Entrées are prepared in the main kitchen and served restaurant-style in multiple dining rooms; room service is available when residents are ill or prefer privacy. Snacks, beverages, and take-home options are offered throughout the day, and the dietitian reviews individual nutritional needs quarterly to adjust textures or portion sizes as required.
