Waltonwood Providence offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care on one campus, allowing residents to move between service levels if their needs change. Staff are trained to work with moderate dementia, and the community accepts residents who wander morning or evening, are at risk for elopement, or stay up through the night. Medical oversight covers oxygen management, specialized diets, younger residents under 60, and diabetic care—whether oral medication, injections, or sliding-scale insulin.
Clinical support is reinforced by an on-site RN or LPN, a nurse on call around the clock, and an awake night shift. Safety measures include thorough background checks, 24-hour staffing, a fenced perimeter, and a personal emergency response system that alerts staff. Podiatry and audiology clinics visit the community, and a dedicated therapy room is available for rehabilitative needs. Care aides can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as some help at mealtime, and they can manage a one-person transfer.
Residences vary in layout and do not all include every feature, but options can include a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual temperature controls, cable service, and the ability to repaint or decorate. Some apartments have in-unit laundry, while scheduled laundry and routine housekeeping are provided campus-wide. Independent Living residents can opt into additional housekeeping services tailored to lighter support needs.
Meals are ordered from a menu, with snacks available throughout the day, in-room tray service when needed, and a private dining room for family gatherings. Dietary accommodations cover gluten-free selections, mechanical-chopped or puréed consistencies, and thickened liquids. Independent Living residents may select a monthly meal plan that allows them to balance communal dining with cooking in their own kitchens.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-friendly common areas, a beauty and barber shop, fitness room, movie theater, internet service, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Concierge assistance, a library, interest clubs, and scheduled transportation—including medical shuttle service—round out the offerings. Pets are welcome; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
